ORIGINAL PRUSA i3 MK3S GIFT VOUCHERS
We prepared gift vouchers you can give to your relatives or friends before the Original Prusa i3 MK3S arrives to you. You can download the voucher of your choice down below.
After more than a year of a continuous development of the Original Prusa i3 MK3 we are introducing MK3S - the enhanced and improved revision of the MK3.
The previous sensor didn’t work well with some specific filaments. The new sensor is using the optical sensor which is triggered by a simple mechanical lever. This sensor doesn’t care about the optical properties of the filament and cannot die because of mechanical wear.
Thanks to completely reworked extruder changing the nozzle or PTFE tube is easier than ever before. As a bonus, the nozzle and the extruder motor is much closer to the X axis, this means less resonance and better prints too. MK3S is also better for printing from flexible materials.
MK3S includes all the cumulative upgrades from the entire life cycle of the MK3 like genuine Gates belts, textile sleeves, a new Einsy case for easier Raspberry Pi connection, an anti-rust coating on smooth PEI sheets and, of course, dozens of firmware and plastic parts enhancements.
The Original Prusa i3 MK3/S is the "Best 3D printer" according to All3DP.com and MAKE: Magazine, where MK3/S also received "Editor's Choice" as the highest-rated 3D printer in 2019 Digital Fabrication Guide. The MK3S features a rebuilt extruder, numerous sensors, and various smart features. Plus, a new magnetic MK52 heatbed with replaceable PEI spring steel print sheet. Dozens of various tweaks and upgrades improve the reliability and ease of use. MK3S‘s functionality can be further expanded with the unique Multi-Material Upgrade 2S addon for printing with up to 5 materials simultaneously. Below, you can see some of the many 3D printer awards Prusa Research received.
The most significant features of Original Prusa i3 MK3S
The new MK52 Magnetic HeatBed holds a replaceable alloy spring steel sheet with a PEI surface. You can choose between two types of sheets - smooth PEI sheet (default option, already available) and textured powder coated PEI (this will be available later).
With the MK3S we are introducing the reworked Y axis from
Thanks to the new Trinamic2130 drivers and Noctua fan, the MK3S is extremely quiet in the stealth mode. But the MK3S is quieter than 99 % of the available printers, even in the Normal mode. In normal mode, we have also increased the travel speed. Now you can achieve up to 200 mm/s!
Have you ever tripped over the extension cord and lost a 20-hours print? MK3S will save you! The printer can fully recover from the loss of power. It detects power interruption and shuts down the heatbed and extruder heating. After restoring the power, you can continue with printing.
With MK3S we are introducing a completely reworked extruder with a new filament sensor. The new sensor is using the optical sensor which is triggered by a simple mechanical lever. This sensor doesn’t care about the optical properties of the filament (it can be completely invisible) and cannot die because of mechanical wear.
The new EINSY RAMBo motherboard with Trinamic drivers not only makes the MK3S silent but it also can detect skipped steps and layer shifting. This is a big step forward in the reliability of the printer and the user comfort. You can say goodbye to ugly prints!
The extruder has now upgraded with Bondtech drive gear. It grips the filament from both sides, increasing the push force and making the printer more reliable. This is useful
MK3S has two new thermistors. The first one measures ambient temperature on the electronics, preventing MINTEMP errors in rooms with 15°C or less. The second one is embedded in the new P.I.N.D.A. 2 probe to compensate for temperature drift. So the first layer will always be spot on!

With 3D printing, buying a printer is just a beginning!
Assembling the kit is an excellent first step to the world of 3D printing. You will understand the principles of printer construction and get a huge advantage when you need to solve possible problems and replacements later.
But don't worry. Assembling is quite easy! You don't have to solder at all to build our kit. You don't even have to own a soldering iron. All our cables are cut to length and with professionally crimped connectors. And from the electronics standpoint, the hardest thing will be plugging the connectors to the motherboard.
All of this makes the kit very friendly to younger builders :-)
We didn't want to leave anything to chance, so our assembly instructions are pictured to the smallest detail.
See the assembly manual for yourself!
All fasteners and mechanical parts have 1:1 drawing so you can easily find them, and there is no chance of you picking a wrong one. You don't have to be MIT graduate to assemble our kit ;-)
Our fastest customer built the kit in 4 hours! Will you beat him?
We provide high print settings with the printer, so you don't have to dive into complex new programs the second you finish the build. You can start printing right away, and this gives you a great head start!
These settings are great for all kinds of objects, not just for a couple of prepared showpieces. After a while, when you're familiar with the printer, you can, of course, dive into tinkering ;-)
We are developing our own slicing software. PrusaSlicer is a feature-rich, frequently updated tool that contains everything you need to export the perfect print files for your Original Prusa 3D printer. But of course, we also have the settings for the third party slicers like Simplify3D, Cura, etc
One of the most popular features of Original Prusa i3 concept is upgradability. If you buy our 3D printer, you can upgrade it later to the new version, so you don't need to buy the whole new model every two years as you get used to for example with your phone or laptop. :-)
Upgrades are a great way not only for saving money, but also to learn about the construction of the printer's hardware. We are constantly improving our technology. A few years ago there was the Original Prusa i3 3mm which was upgradable to the Original Prusa i3 Plus 1.75mm (MK1). MK1 printer can become MK2S thanks to the next big upgrade and then you can go even for the latest MK3S (or MK2.5S if you wish).
Our discount program for the Original Prusa i3 kit owners gives you a 5% discount on subsequent orders of selected filaments, including the high-precision Prusament!
How does it work?
To enter the discount program, you only need to purchase your first Original Prusa i3 kit for the full price. After the i3 kit is delivered to you, your Prusa account automatically applies the 5% discount on the selected filaments. So next time you'll be stocking up on filaments you can take advantage of the 5% discount :-). Make sure to be always logged into your Prusa account, to have the discount applied.
Original Prusa i3 MK3S
Multi-material could be your next step in the 3D printing world and MK3S is completely ready for the upgrade.
BTW: Do you know, that you can easily print soluble interface supports with

I have 10 of these now and WILL NOT buy any other type of FDM printer.
They are reliable and consistent and just meet the demands we place on them.
We plan to buy another bundle over the coming year and the new Mini looks like a possible early start for this plan as the foot print will allow us double the number for space ration.
Great tool Prusa Team keep it up.
Flawless Printer
I've owned several printers, some good and some bad. None of them come close to touching the overall quality of the MK3S. Every facet of the device is made to higher quality standards than anything else I've ever seen. I've even done some comparisons between prints I've done with this against some that were created with $3000+ consumer and commercial printers and the Prusa wins easily every time. After working with this one, I'm without a doubt a fan for life.
Great 3D printer
I had used a Creality Ender 3 and had a little experience. The Prusa mk3 is awesome in terms of ease of use. The auto bed leveling is so convenient. It is also incredibly quiet. In stealth mode you can have it running in the next room at night and not hear it at all. Well worth the cost. Building it took a while, about 6 hours but I'd never done anything like that before and was very careful. Worked perfectly first time I turned it on.
Fantastic Printer 100% recomend
I got this printer in May and have been using it since, no issues so far and i am very happy with the quality of the machine and the customer service, while building had some issues and messaged them, got a good response two minutes later :). I worked mostly on Ultimaker machines, with the i3mk3s existing i have no idea how someone could ever think that purchasing any ultimaker model a good idea. Thanks for the fantastic experience. For anyone scared of building a kit, don't worry it's super easy and the instructions are very good.
100%
Very good kit. Everything fits together perfectly. The printer is beyond doubt. The print quality is absolutely perfect. The printer has grown up. Keep up the good work.
Its a great as heck printer
Juts buy one already, and if you already have one, another wont hurt ,':-)
The only printer you'll ever need
This printer is a ferrari compared to all other printers. It's the best investment you'll ever make when you are looking to buy a 3D printer under €1000.
I also want to say special thanks to the people who created the manual for the assembly kit. It was the best manual I have ever seen, making the assembly a walk in the park. I highly recommend everyone buying the self assembly kit.
You will understand every part of the printer better and it will be easier during maintenance of the printer.
For the people that don't like to tinker with print profiles and just want to plug and play. Again, Prusa MK3S is the way to go. You import an STL file into the PrusaSlicer, choose MK3S model, export Gcode and press start. that's it.
I love this thing!
I've wanted a 3D printer for a long time. I did a ton of reading/watching about 3D printers and figured why get a clone of the original?
The kit went together easily by following the included manual and the prints so far have been flawless.
Awesome!
Congratulations on Josef and his team! You guys came up here with an awesome 3D printer!
I started last year with an Anet A8 assembling kit liked this new hobby with the first day :)
Now, after enough upgrading the A8, I wanted more. And here I am now with a brand new Prusa i3 MK3S kit at home.
5 days! It took ONLY 5 days from order till delivery! By receiving the MK3S kit, I was so happy as a little child at christmas! :)
I enjoyed every minute from the unboxing to the very first start of the printer!
Assembling: Very easy and well explained. But I would recommend to everybody to follow the manual in the internet, because the pictures are bigger and you also can zoom in the pictures.
All parts are separarted in boxes and also in ziplocks. Everything is perfectly labeld even with numbers for your buil-up steps! So nothing can go wrong here.
First start: Follow the instructions for the very first start with calibrations. It is nicely done and well explained. Also you could watch a video with Josef explaining the very start. Whatever you guys prefer! Every way will work out.
Software: In the past I was used to CURA slicer. Now, with the PrusaSlicer, I feel me very comfortable. Because the settings are already well done for each material. But, you can also come up with changes on your own, if needed. But comparing both slicers, I have to say I am prefering the PrusaSlicer. Very good job done by your team Josef!
Once you have ordered a printer here, you will get access to the spare parts shop, as long as you ordered with an account I guess. Here I ordered the powder-coated sheet which is already shipped. Next week I am going to have that nice developed sheet in my hands =] This sheet was crucial for me to come up with some orders here ;)
Also I am totally looking forward to receive the MMU2S! This will be a very nice update for the printer. And I think some great experience to gain with 5 different colors or even materials.
Everything in total, I have to say this printer is worth every euro!
Greetings from Germany
A very satisfied costumer!

Absolute workhorse of a machine
Since assembling this printer it has been an absolute dream to use. It is quite literally set and forget - press print and it just works. No more fiddling around with settings, making sure that everything sticks to the printbed, it just does what it says. Printing PLA, PETG and other specialty filaments such as wood have been super easy - merely changing a temperature and a couple of retraction settings as opposed to the hours of trials with cheaper printers. Very impressed!
