The Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ is the latest version of our award-winning 3D printers. We have upgraded the MK3S with a brand new SuperPINDA probe for improved first layer calibration, added high-quality Misumi bearings and various useful design tweaks to make the printer easier to assemble and maintain. The MK3S+ includes all the proven features of the previous models, including the heatbed with removable PEI spring steel print sheets, automatic Mesh Bed Leveling, filament sensor, power loss recovery (power panic) and safety features. And it is still as silent as ever!

The MK3S+ is available as an assembly kit, which is the best way to get to know your new 3D printer. Assemble it screw by screw to learn truly everything about its design and how it works! You can also get it fully assembled and factory tested, so all you need to do is to unpack it and plug it in.

Thanks to all of these (and many other) features, the MK3S became the “Best 3D Printer” according to ALL3DP. The MK3S is also the highest-rated 3D printer, and the “Editor’s Choice”, in the prestigious MAKE:MAGAZINE’s Digital Fabrication Guide 2019. The MK3S is also featured in TechRadar's Best 3D printers of 2021 as The best all-around 3D printer. NY Times wrote that "...of the 11 printers we’ve tested over the past five years, the Prusa i3 MK3S printer has produced the largest and best-looking prints." According to ZDNet, the MK3S is "The best pro-sumer 3D printer under 1000 USD."

The functionality of the MK3S+ can be further enhanced by our unique Multi-Material Upgrade 2S for printing with up to 5 filaments simultaneously.

Our printers have received many awards over the years and we keep working hard to make them even better!

SuperPINDA probe features a hiqh-quality sensor for a fully-automatic Mesh Bed Leveling process. Before every print, the MK3S+ probes the bed in several places and creates a virtual heightmap of the print area. This process ensures that the first layer will always be spot on!

The MK3S+ features a new set of metal clips for the genuine MISUMI bearings on the Y-axis. The belt tensioning mechanism on the X-axis was reworked and the X-end plastic parts reinforced. The filament path in the extruder was altered for better support of flexible filaments.

With all the cumulative upgrades from the entire MK3’s life cycle on board, the MK3S+ is the best version of our award-winning 3D printer so far. Genuine Gates belts, Bondtech drive gears, EINSY RAMBo motherboard, IR filament sensor, and many other features are the reason why the MK3S+ is the perfect 3D printing workhorse.

The most significant features of Original Prusa i3 MK3S+

Alt Text

Spring steel sheets are easy to maintain and make removing the printed object from the print surface a breeze. We offer three types of print surface: smooth, textured and satin to cover all your needs when printing from a wide range of different materials - most of which do not require any special separation layers or surface preparation.

Alt Text

The MK3S+ features an aluminum extrusion Y-axis assembly. Thanks to the milled dural frame, the MK3S+ is stable, rigid, and easy to assemble. Combined with our internally developed extruder featuring Bondtech gears and the E3D V6 hotend, the MK3S+ can print high-quality objects up to 210 mm in height.

Thanks to the SuperPINDA probe, the MK3S+ can use the Mesh Bed Leveling process to compensate for microscopic imperfections of the print sheet, and inconsistencies caused by the assembly and stacking of the manufacturing tolerances of various parts. Achieving a great-looking first layer is quick and easy.

Are you afraid of a blackout ruining your 48-hour print? Worry no more - the MK3S+ can deal with that! The printer can fully recover from the loss of power and continue printing exactly where it left off. It detects power interruptions and shuts down the heatbed and extruder heating, and saves the last known location.

The MK3S+ further enhances the reworked extruder from the MK3S. The built-in filament sensor uses a reliable trigger system, which detects whether a strand of filament is inserted into the extruder. It can detect any type and color of filament and is not susceptible to mechanical wear.

Thanks to the Trinamic 2130 drivers and super silent fan, the MK3S+ supports the stealth printing mode, which makes the printer extremely quiet. Even in the normal printing mode, the MK3S+ is quieter than most 3D printers on the market. In the normal mode, the MK3S+ can achieve a print speed of more than 200 mm/s!

Our internally developed multiplatform slicer comes with in-house made and fully tested profiles for all of our 3D printers and a wide range of filaments. With built-in tools, such as advanced support generation, cutting, automated object distribution, ironing and many others, you will turn your 3D models into print files in no time!

The MK3S+ is fully compatible with a wide range of various types of materials. No matter whether you want to print something for fun from PLA and flexible materials, or you need to produce durable prototypes from PETG, ASA, Polycarbonate and Polypropylene - the MK3S+ can handle them with ease.

We develop firmware for all of our 3D printers and test every new version thoroughly before release. Ongoing development and regular updates ensure that our machines are packed with useful features, such as print sheet profiles, automated calibration, Mesh bed leveling, advanced diagnostics, remaining print time estimation, Octoprint support and more!

The printer standard all others should be held to

I originally bought a creality Ender 3, 90% of the time i was fixing issues and dumping money into it invain, after several hogh dollar print jobs i made the decision to invest in a perbuilt prusa the lead time was worth it ive put more filament through this machine with amazing results than i put through the ender in a year of owning it, the only issue i experienced was some rattleing after disassembling and adding some grease to the bearings its dead silent, my advice is if you are considering an entry level printer wait , save up and buy the mk3S+, the ender is cheap but the trouble it gives you may push you away from the idea of 3D printing

An Excellent First 3D Printer

I really enjoyed putting this together. Most of the assembly instructions were very clear, and I'm confident that they will continue improving the process based on feedback. I managed to get the calibration perfect and I've been very happy with my prints so far.

    Best MK To Date!

The MK3S+ Is a phenomenal printer , Best MK series to date Especially with Inclusion of misumi bearings , Reworked X axis , rod holders , Extruder And most important Super Pinda... My first prusa printer was MK 2.5 S And every Model after that To this one And I could safely say they hit a nail in the head ! Most would say that MK3 Is outdated But let me tell you this printer Parts multi thousand-dollar printers 2 shame . Get yourself an enclosure if you printing an exotic materials And you are set to go ! I can't wait to see what Josef Prusa Brinks to the market next ! Whatever it will be Sign me up :-)

      The king among 3D printers

Now before I bought a Prusa 3D printer, I had a few China 3D printers in my possession (the usual ones - Anycubic Mega S, Ender 3 Pro, Ender 5).
I was very satisfied with the print quality of the China printers per se.... and then came the MK3S+ - Oh my god, what an awesome printer!!!!
The printer is completely thought out from top to bottom, the assembly instructions for it absolutely could not be better.
After I have now seen the first print results, I had to order directly a second MK3S+.
You can clearly see that the printer itself is used by Prusa to produce printers again, I think that's also what makes it that the printer is so well thought out and is simply a workhorse.
In conjunction with the PrusaSlicer, one can only say that through the printer you simply buy the king of 3D printing!

overpriced gummy bears that came with a free printer

this is a very cool printer. while i will always thank my ender 3 for kickstarting my hobby in 3d printing and mechanical design, this printer really just blows it out of the water. its a great piece of kit and i recommend it quite alot.

Best of the breed. Unmatched Quality, Performance, Reliability

I can tell you first hand that this printer is designed from the ground up with top of the line components and a single minded focus on reliability. I have tried literally every brand in the market, yes some may be bundled a lot fancier (Wasp and Makerbots), some may be dirt cheap like ender and Anet's - upgraded to the hilt but ! ALWAYS go back to to my two MK3S's (upgraded to Super PINDA) or my two mini's (upgraded to SPinda's too). Print threads, PC, ASA, PLA, PETG, TPU - you name it and it will print. Yes it takes time to learn how to do the basic things if you are new, but i cannot think of any technical activity without a small learning curve. This printer is forgiving and supported by numerous settings to help you improve and learn. The Slicer is AMAZING too. Working in conjunction there is nothing on the market today that even comes close to PRUSA. I am a legit FAN of these printers now and cannot tell you how it has literally unleash my creative side with no holds barred. The parts i dream up and make are mind-blowing in the Slicer but seeing them take shape and actually turn into workable, usable components in literally no time and no pain is just amazing. The customer service and technical support team leaves no stone unturned to get you back up and running if in a rare occasion you need them. Great experience all around Get one !!!!!!! You will NEVER regret it. Cant wait for the next printer :-) Shhhhh XL with tool Changer WOW!!.

          Incredibly good !

Almost evrything is perfect. The assembly guide is really good, the printer is thought and prints very well without any tuning. It requires almost no maintenance. The software is really easy to use yet very powerfull.

            Builty the MK3S Kit

For some reason, MK3S reviews are now being bundled with the new MK3S+ reviews, and there are important differences, so I think Prusa should set up a new page for the new machine.
Anyway. I built the MK3S kit and had only small issues with assembly, mostly due to the photos in the manual being too small, and too dark, with insufficient contrast between the dark parts shown in the pictures. This led to a couple of minor mistakes, which were soon put right by watching the relevant YouTube videos. Once assembled and calibrated, it worked flawlessly with prusament PLA and PETG, with only minor tweaking of temperatures needed.
I don't recommend the OLSSON RUBY nozzle though. The ruby fell out of it while printing PLA which is inexcusable considering the cost of the nozzle. Googling around, I found that there are lots of other people with the same issue, and OLSSON have NOT been helpful at all when I contacted them about this.
However, all things considered, this is likely the best 3d printer kit you can buy. Everything about it is open source, and Prusa customer service is absolutely the best I have had from any company in a very long time. The OLSSON nozzle issue is not their fault, but just thought my experiences with it might be useful.
            Bests... Chris

Other companies should take a lesson

Let me start by saying I previously owned a first gen mini Kossel Delta printer. That printer was a nightmare that put me off 3D printing for 2 years until I discovered this one. I purchased the MK3S+ after having researched all the latest offerings and all roads lead back to this being the gold standard. And for good reason. I have built a lot of things in my 62 years. But never have I seen anything so amazingly well thought out from the design concept to the implementation, to the packaging, The documentation, the quality of the materials included in the kit. All of of it was second to none. Every part, hardware and electronic pack, support materials are broken down by assembly and packaged as such. You simply open the bag marked for the part you wish to build look in the book and off you go. It even includes a toolkit of fairly good quality tools. And a bag of spare hardware when you drop those little nuts and screws that roll off into places you can't find. The instruction book that comes with the unit is printed using high quality color paper and is laid out methodically and logically and is an absolute joy to follow. I actually had as much fun building this thing as I do printing with it. I'm not going to review the print quality yet as I'm still dialing it in, but preliminary results are nothing short of amazing. Like the title says a lot of other companies should take note how this company does business. This is the right way to build package and promote a product. I have no regrets an absolutely recommend Prusa to all my friends and professional acquaintances.

              100% Satisfied

I wanted a 3D-printer for a long time so a looked at reviews. I think i have seen all of them made on you tube the last 2 years. Many of them wanted to show up their first 24 upgrade and so on. I thought if i gonna have a good experience i want a printer that worked out of the box. And than experienced reviewer say that they want to print something for themselves they take the Prusa MK3s. I ordered a kit and it arrived 28 sept. It´s not many hours i have let the guy rest since then. Every print exept from 1 brand of filament have worked perfect on default setting and it was not even on the list either.
So if you are new to this or tired of come home to a ruined 3 day print buy a Prusa. I have only one problem with this printer. And it´s rather disturbing. It is occupied all the time awesome prints :) So i ordered i Prusa Mini and it arriving now on Monday.
              Happy Printing all of you.
