SuperPINDA probe features a hiqh-quality sensor for a fully-automatic Mesh Bed Leveling process. Before every print, the MK3S+ probes the bed in several places and creates a virtual heightmap of the print area. This process ensures that the first layer will always be spot on!


The MK3S+ features a new set of metal clips for the genuine MISUMI bearings on the Y-axis. The belt tensioning mechanism on the X-axis was reworked and the X-end plastic parts reinforced. The filament path in the extruder was altered for better support of flexible filaments.


With all the cumulative upgrades from the entire MK3’s life cycle on board, the MK3S+ is the best version of our award-winning 3D printer so far. Spring steel sheets are easy to maintain and make removing the printed object from the print surface a breeze. We offer three types of print surface: smooth, textured and satin to cover all your needs when printing from a wide range of different materials - most of which do not require any special separation layers or surface preparation.

The MK3S+ features an aluminum extrusion Y-axis assembly. Thanks to the milled dural frame, the MK3S+ is stable, rigid, and easy to assemble. Combined with our internally developed extruder featuring Bondtech gears and the E3D V6 hotend, the MK3S+ can print high-quality objects up to 210 mm in height.


Thanks to the SuperPINDA probe, the MK3S+ can use the Mesh Bed Leveling process to compensate for microscopic imperfections of the print sheet, and inconsistencies caused by the assembly and stacking of the manufacturing tolerances of various parts. Achieving a great-looking first layer is quick and easy.


Are you afraid of a blackout ruining your 48-hour print? Worry no more - the MK3S+ can deal with that! The printer can fully recover from the loss of power and continue printing exactly where it left off. It detects power interruptions and shuts down the heatbed and extruder heating, and saves the last known location.


The MK3S+ further enhances the reworked extruder from the MK3S. The built-in filament sensor uses a reliable trigger system, which detects whether a strand of filament is inserted into the extruder. It can detect any type and color of filament and is not susceptible to mechanical wear.


Thanks to the Trinamic 2130 drivers and super silent fan, the MK3S+ supports the stealth printing mode, which makes the printer extremely quiet. Even in the normal printing mode, the MK3S+ is quieter than most 3D printers on the market. In the normal mode, the MK3S+ can achieve a print speed of more than 200 mm/s!


Our internally developed multiplatform slicer comes with in-house made and fully tested profiles for all of our 3D printers and a wide range of filaments. With built-in tools, such as advanced support generation, cutting, automated object distribution, ironing and many others, you will turn your 3D models into print files in no time!

No regrets, An Absolute Phenomenon

At first, I owned a Tevo Tarantula, a big mistake. It was cheaply built, didn't print well, and everything started falling apart after the first two prints. Looking for some printers to purchase, I stumbled upon Prusa and everyone was saying the printer is reliable and a "workhorse". At first, I was skeptical. I thought, how could a printer that didn't look like it had many fancy features on the outside be this good? Alas, it was absolutely amazing. Prints stick like no other printer, the quality is beyond great, and the entire set-up from building to printing was so user-friendly. I'm here just to write an honest review for anyone thinking about purchasing this printer, don't judge a book by its cover. It's an absolute machine and I haven't had a failed print since purchase. The first layer is a piece of cake with this machine and for many materials, you don't even need to apply adhesive to the flexible and magnetic build plate. 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing a good printer that just simply, works and for that matter, extremely well.


    Best desktop printer we have found

    Put simply we have had several different brands of 3D printers up to now. We are looking to replace our other 6 remaining printers with these printers. The kit was delightful and easy to follow in total it took around 8 hours 30 mins to follow the guide step by step 10/10 on quality of instructions and 12/10 for final product. Really cant wait to get more of these. P.s The gummy bears are a great motivator ;)


      It's the best printer!

      A great printer. It was easy to assemble and set up. I had misgivings, having had another printer from a different manufacturer that was not so great. I couldn't have been more wrong, it has printed great from the very beginning and has some great features not found on other printers. A lot has gone into the research and development and it shows. I have had it now a couple of months and it has moved location a couple of times and still prints to a high standard. the only niggle I have had is getting the the Z setting right at the start, it maybe could have been explained in a little more detail, but it doesn't stop it being a great printer. It also comes with great backup and support, also not found on other makes. Would highly recommend it to anyone interested in 3D printing.


        An excellent deal from a excellent company

        I purchased this Mk3s kit back in March and have been using it regularly since then (I've printed about 250 hours so far). I ordered the mk3s kit because I wanted a printer sooner and the wait time for minis at that point was several months. The kit took me probably 10-15 hours to assemble but it was fun to construct my first 3D printer and helpful to know how it's put together. I've had quite a few issues that I've had to resolve but these aren't really to do with the quality of the printer, more just general printing issues. Since I put together the kit it was much easier to resolve these problems because I knew how to take apart particular portions of the printer and put them back together. The Prusa online support pages and fora are an excellent resource and I've found solutions to most of my issues there. Once issue that I did have that seems to be related to the printer was that one of the linear bearings in the kit was a bit faulty. This has caused a scratch in one of my smooth rods. However this hasn't really affected the quality of my prints (not yet at least) and when I contacted Prusa about it they shipped me replacement parts WITHIN A WEEK. So even if you do have any issues expect Prusa customer service to resolve them quickly and without any cost to you. I just ordered 3 more printers (this time the minis, already assembled). I'm OK with waiting (they're 2 months backlogged currently) because I've already got this printer for now. If I purchase any more mk3s printers I'll probably buy them already assembled because it is so time consuming. But as others have recommended online I would recommend buying the kit for your first printer so you know how it's put together. 100% recommend!


          Superb even for a complete newbie on 3D printing

          There are quite cheaper printers and some of those have great reputation as well, however, after several weeks of research I concluded that there is no better printer bellow $1000 USD than the Prusa MK3. Since the price difference is quite noticeable i did get the DIY kit, gotta say, it was a challenge, it says 4-8 h to complete but pretty sure it took me at least twice that time (but it was my first time ever i saw a 3D printer), gotta give credit with the instructions, they are as clear and thorough as possible, however pretty sure customs took away my gummy bears :( ... After the asembly, had a couple of problems with Y axis (a blocked path) due some plastic straps in the way and a misplaced cable, (rather quick to solve), calibration required a little of PINDA sensor try outs but also, no big deal. First mandatory benchy didnt work cause forgot the first layer calibration, but after that (and a month later) the printer is a non stop working machine. Only resting between projects and working -GREAT-.The Slicer is also very easy to use and have used lots of PLA and PETG so far. i give a quick service (around every 24 h of printing) such as oiling the arms and motors and cleaning the nozzle with not a single issue. Now i need another one!... still deciding if another MK3 or a give a try with a Mini but a PRUSA FOR SURE.

              Awesome experience

              Great fun assembling - love the bears. Had a few tweaks at the end to dial in - all covered by the manual. On setting the Y axis I was incrementing really slowly till I read the average was .400 to 1.5 . Would definitely recommend even for a beginner.


                Prusa MK3S Kit BAD ASS!!!

                The thought that has gone into every aspect of this product is beyond impresive! I shopped around quite a bit before choosing the Prusa i3MK3S printer. I chose the kit because I'm technically inclined and wanted to learn about the whloe 'how it works', and to save a few bucks.
                I specifically was in the market because I wanted to build a prototype for a product design I want to develop.
                I have to tell you prospective buyers out there how pleased, and impressed I am with this product!!! Josef Prusa is a 3D bad ass! I was able to print out all seven main parts of my prototype, and I couldn't be happier with the results! I was a little concerned about ordering from half way around the world, but received my purchase in the stated time frame without issue, here in Los Angeles. If youre on the fence but want one, In my opinion, you'll be getting way more than what you pay for. A rarity in this day in age. If you you use this product with the Prusa slicer software that is offered for free, with just a wee bit of creativity this combination is worth its weight in gold. Had to share.



                  I have never seen a printer go over a year with 4-5 different transitions of locations just to print perfectly without any required work or calibration to be redone.

                  I have easily convinced four other people already to go with PRUSA Mk3s when they asked which brand was the best. With an $800 price tag, the PRUSA blows away nearly all of the competition of printers that costs double what the PRUSA does.

                  Won over by QUALITY

                  After delivery of the kit, I took my time reading all the material and going online to view assembly suggestions, etc. Time well spent. Though not necessary, the provided instruction book was everything I really needed. A great deal of effort was put into the preparation of this manual. I strongly urge future kit builders to read all the instructions, and NOT be tempted to assemble by picture alone. The manual even states this. Trust me, you will save yourself much frustration by following this advice. After the assembly, and then using the included handbook for configuration and calibration I was pleasantly surprised that the first check of everything was OK. ALL WAS VERIFIED. Happy beyond compare. Did several first layer calibrations and then several sample prints. I can't adequately describe how pleased I was with the results. To any one that wonders if purchasing a Prusa is worth it, YES. Hands down compared to the 4 other knock offs I have purchased, upgraded and tinkered with. None of them even after multiple enhancements can even come close to what my i3 MK3S kit does when properly calibrated and assembled. As other's have stated, I too will be a long term Prusa customer. Thank you for providing a product that lives up to the legend you have created with quality.
