SuperPINDA probe features a hiqh-quality sensor for a fully-automatic Mesh Bed Leveling process. Before every print, the MK3S+ probes the bed in several places and creates a virtual heightmap of the print area. This process ensures that the first layer will always be spot on!


The MK3S+ features a new set of metal clips for the genuine MISUMI bearings on the Y-axis. The belt tensioning mechanism on the X-axis was reworked and the X-end plastic parts reinforced. The filament path in the extruder was altered for better support of flexible filaments.


With all the cumulative upgrades from the entire MK3’s life cycle on board, the MK3S+ is the best version of our award-winning 3D printer so far. Spring steel sheets are easy to maintain and make removing the printed object from the print surface a breeze. We offer three types of print surface: smooth, textured and satin to cover all your needs when printing from a wide range of different materials - most of which do not require any special separation layers or surface preparation.

The MK3S+ features an aluminum extrusion Y-axis assembly. Thanks to the milled dural frame, the MK3S+ is stable, rigid, and easy to assemble. Combined with our internally developed extruder featuring Bondtech gears and the E3D V6 hotend, the MK3S+ can print high-quality objects up to 210 mm in height.


Thanks to the SuperPINDA probe, the MK3S+ can use the Mesh Bed Leveling process to compensate for microscopic imperfections of the print sheet, and inconsistencies caused by the assembly and stacking of the manufacturing tolerances of various parts. Achieving a great-looking first layer is quick and easy.


Are you afraid of a blackout ruining your 48-hour print? Worry no more - the MK3S+ can deal with that! The printer can fully recover from the loss of power and continue printing exactly where it left off. It detects power interruptions and shuts down the heatbed and extruder heating, and saves the last known location.


The MK3S+ further enhances the reworked extruder from the MK3S. The built-in filament sensor uses a reliable trigger system, which detects whether a strand of filament is inserted into the extruder. It can detect any type and color of filament and is not susceptible to mechanical wear.


Thanks to the Trinamic 2130 drivers and super silent fan, the MK3S+ supports the stealth printing mode, which makes the printer extremely quiet. Even in the normal printing mode, the MK3S+ is quieter than most 3D printers on the market. In the normal mode, the MK3S+ can achieve a print speed of more than 200 mm/s!


Our internally developed multiplatform slicer comes with in-house made and fully tested profiles for all of our 3D printers and a wide range of filaments. With built-in tools, such as advanced support generation, cutting, automated object distribution, ironing and many others, you will turn your 3D models into print files in no time!

Awesome Printer!!!

This was my first printer and I am extremely satisfied with it. The printer is packaged very well and arrived to me in the United States perfect!!! I decided to go with the kit version to learn more about the printer. It is best to follow along with the web manual as you can zoom in on the assembly pictures(very helpful). The customer support at Prusa is #1. You may be able to find cheaper clones, but you will not get the same quality or level of support that Prusa offers. I have been using my printer just about every day since I purchased it without any problems. Thank you for an awesome product and customer support.

The best printer I've ever seen

The best printer I've ever seen.

I have several printers but this one exceeded expectations.
After the purchase, the product was shipped very quickly, arriving at my home in Brazil in two days after dispatch.

Very well packaged product, detailed manuals and fun and delicious assembly. After assembly, the product was easily configured and worked perfectly even with colored models with five colors.
Very satisfied, congratulations on the work.

Its Great!

I ordered mine on New Year's eve and it took a couple of weeks to get it due to back order. I assembled it in about 7 hours over 4 days. The assembly instructions were very good.

The only feedback I would give is it would be good to make the initial setup slightly more automatic. It attempted to automatically set up the xyz calibration, but I didn't have the extruder high enough and it failed several times. After reading the manual, I figured it out. Overall very pleased.


    My first 3D Printer

    I purchased the MK3S kit. I had a blast building the printer, the instructions were very clear and I went slow. In terms of assembly I only had 2 minor issues. First I did not like assembing the Y-Axis belt, this did not feel like the cleanest assembly to me but that said it is working just fine. The other issue was some 3D printed parts needed square bolts inserted into a slot. Some parts, in particular the Y-Axis brackets that hold the Y-Axis smooth rods were an extremely tight fit.

    Otherwise my only other problem was I thought the PLA included with the kit was problematic at best and terrible at worst. At first I thought it was me and needing to tune the printer but I purchased some 3rd party PLA and have printed a full roll of it now with not a single failed print. The included PLA still has problems and I am only using it for the smallest test prints, it has globbed and caused print failures and completely clogged my PTFE tube once requiring me to take apart the hot end to replace it. I would highly recommend getting some good 3rd party PLA for any real prints you want to make.

    I know I have sounded negative by the printer, after tuning just a little at the start and getting some worry free PLA has been working non-stop for almost 2 weeks with near flawless performance. I probably need to suss out a couple very minor issues still but the prints I am getting are beyond every expectation. I do recommend getting the kit though as it makes maintenance and repairs much easier as you know how it is put together.

    Without hesitation, get this printer!

    Great Experience!

    I received my MK3S on Monday 1/20/20, and I began assembling it after dinner. From Monday through Thursday, I spent around 7-8 hours time getting it fully assembled. I plugged it in, followed the menus and have now printed my first parts, which look really good. The only snag I ran into was the initial XYZ calibration. I kept getting a error message saying the calibration failed due to axis out of alignment. I eventually learned that the extruder needed to be near the top of the Z axis when that process began, in order to function properly. After several failed attempts, I found language in the manual that explained this. This seems like an opportunity for a better calibration algorithm, that does not require the extruder to in any particular position when that process begins. Other than, that, everything works great. After it calibrated, and I dialed in an offset to tighten the nozzle position to the metal plate, and it has worked flawlessly. I'm pleased!

    I’ve assembled many kits of all kinds and as a medical CT engineer I’m always building something but this kit is BY FAR the best, most well specced, well packaged and well supported project I’ve ever set eyes on. The manuals are superb in every detail. You can instantly tell this kit was put together by people who are proud and care. Well done guys! Sooo pleased!

    An Outstanding Kit

    I ordered my kit on 28 Nov 2019. Prusa shipped on the next day. Remarkably, it took longer to get it from the Eastern United States to Colorado than it did from Europe to the United States.

    The kit was packaged as well as any product I've ever seen - very orderly and secure. Everything is identified by the step to which it applies, so it's almost impossible to go wrong. The manuals are without a doubt the best in any business I've been involved with.

    The build took me about 5 days working about 2-3 hours a day. After going through all the calibration steps, the first prints worked perfectly. I did have a minor issue with te IR sensor adjustment upon changing filament, but inserting two 0.015" thick fiber washers under the sensor corrected the problem (and a very helpful chat with tech support).

    The only things I'd say are needed during assembly are a pair of diagonal cutters to clip the zip ties with and I found a few places where an X-acto knife was helpful to clean up the strings from the 3D printed parts in a few critical areas.

    It's just an excellent printer, and the slicing S/W couldn't be easier to use.

    Fairly new to 3D printing experience+quality.

    I would like to give it 2.5 stars but I cant.

    Completely new to 3D printing world, still trying to find my way around cura etc.
    Why 2.5 stars not 5? Let me explain:
    1. I think for a average user with no experience 4-5 hours assembly time is very underestimated. Some steps are really hard to understand and the Polish translation of the manual has many mistakes. And I mean many when i say that. So you end up using English, no big deal but still for a company that size pretty bad.
    2. Leveling the axis at the start of the instruction is so badly described that if not for some comments on the webpage by completely unaffiliated person I would probably never have finished it.

    3. And the biggest pain in the ass is that my kit had one small fault on the Einsy board (headbed port was attached 180degree rotated, impossible to plug it due to other ports in the way) which basically ment I went through the complete assembly of the printer and couldnt finish the last step. It is hard to put into words how pissed I was at that time.
    I called that in, had to send in the broken part, only then the replacement was sent. It took some working days as usual as you know. Biggest joke was I had the quality assurance slip in the original so someone tested it but I guess not that part.

    Outside of those points I am really satisfied with the printer and the print quality itself. I have it next to my desk and in stealth mode in headphones I barely hear it printing.

    It would be a differend rating if I could separate purchase from the printer quality but I can't.
