Original Prusa MINI - smart and compact 3D printing workhorse with all the bells and whistles you’re accustomed to when you buy an Original Prusa 3D printer. MINI will surprise you. :-) It has a print volume of 18 cm (7”) cubed, removable spring steel sheets, ethernet and optional Wi-Fi and it’s based on our brand new custom-made 32-bit Buddy mainboard with silent 2209 Trinamic drivers. And we pushed the price under 350 USD / 380 EUR (VAT incl.)!

ORIGINAL PRUSA MINI FEATURES

The most significant features of Original Prusa MINI

BUILD VOLUME

Featuring a 7"×7"×7" (18×18×18 cm) build volume, the MINI is a fully-equipped 3D printer. Featuring sensorless homing, automatic Mesh Bed Calibration, replaceable nozzles, network connectivity, USB printing and a full-color LCD screen, the MINI is a big printer in a small body.

COLOR LCD SCREEN

Configure your 3D printer with ease and see previews of sliced models before you start printing! Thanks to the 2.8’’, 240×320 LCD screen with 65.000 colors, every option is just a few clicks away.

NETWORK CONNECTIVITY

The MINI comes standard with an ethernet RJ45 port and optional future ESP Wi-Fi module upgrade. Send files to the printer wirelessly, or download OTA firmware updates. Thanks to the future updates you will be able to manage a whole print farm easily.

SAFETY FEATURES

Every part we use is thoroughly tested in-house. This is why our 3D printers are highly reliable and safe to use. The MINI is equipped with three thermistors and comes with a high-quality power supply (Delta or Mean Well - depending on region) for safe and reliable information.

COMPACT SIZE

With a footprint of 38×33 cm (15×13 in), the MINI is an incredibly compact, yet fully equipped 3D printer, allowing you to stack several machines onto a single shelf. No matter whether you’re limited by space, or you want to build a printing farm - the MINI has a perfect size.

FLEXIBLE PRINT SHEETS

Removing a print has never been easier! With the magnetic heatbed and removable spring steel sheets, you can remove a printed object merely by bending the steel sheet. The surface is easy to maintain and comes in two variants: smooth and textured.

ONE-CLICK PRINTING

Once you insert a USB drive with a sliced object, a new menu with an object preview window appears. Confirm the selection with a single click of the control wheel and watch the printer do the rest for you.

GEARED EXTRUDER

To decrease the weight of the extruder, we moved the extruder motor on the Z-axis column. Using a 3:1 drive gear ratio, the printer pushes the 1.75 filament strand through a PTFE tube into the hotend and through the 0.4mm nozzle.

32BIT CONTROLLER STM32

More power, more options. Our brand new custom-made 32-bit “Buddy” motherboard with Trinamic 2209 drivers brings more bang for your bucks. It’s capable of nearly everything OctoPrint can do, including farm management software (future firmware update).

Easy to assemble and good support

Very easy to assemble with good instructions. Packaging is good and full recyclable.

First prints were ok with PETG and very good quality. After change to PLA the issues start with bad extrusion, filament blocked inside the extruder and also a nozzle clogged.
The Prusa manual is very clear and easy instructions to solve these kind of issues. The extruder is not easy to see inside, unless we disassemble to check the spring force in the filament.

The PEI Sheet and is great and after solve the issues with underextrusion, the machine is perfect.

5th printer is the best printer

This is my 5th printer purchase and it is by far the best value. I started with 2 Mega-S from AnyCubic, then got 2 MKS3 units for work. Those i did not personally purchase, but after witnessing the Prusa printers quality, I bought a mini for myself at home. I cant express how happy it makes me to watch this little printer go. It is perfect.

Finally, a printer I can rely on!

I started with an ANET A8, and moved on to a monoprice mini delta. While I have developed a thorough understanding of 3D printing on the low tier printer route, I am only now experiencing the joys of reliable 3D printing.

The Prusa mini has opened up a world of opportunities for me and unblocked a number of projects that my previous printers simply couldn’t handle.

I am in love with my Prusa mini!

      Awesome Printer

I have worked with the Prusa MKS 3 before, but this printer is yet another huge step forward. Super simple setup, awesome and super smooth printing results from the very first minute! Only First Layer Calibration can take a moment if you are a perfectionist. Thanks for the awesome work, Prusa Team!

        PERFECT OUT OF THE BOX

Couldn't be easier. 4 screws, calibrate and been printing ever since! No fiddling with tuning or adjustments. This thing works great out of the box. Amazing! Thank you Prusa Team, I'm hooked on 3D printing!

        Perfect printer for everybody

I love this printer! Unboxing, assembling, calibration and first print - everything make sense. So easy to print something without watching how it's done.

        Awesome First Printer Experience

This is a great printer to start. I never had any printing problems or assembly difficulties. I would really recommend it for home printing or prototyping. The bed has enough real estate to manufacture quite big parts and bigger parts can be easily printed in separate parts and glued together. The wait time was almost two months less than the announced when I bought it and the customer experience and community support are awesome.

The highest quality per dollar printer.

I have owned 5 3D printers over the last decade and by a wide margin the Original Prusa MINI is my favorite. It is worth far more than the retail price.
It took less than an hour from unboxing to printing QUALITY prints.

The new control board with built in ethernet and the amazing Trinamic 2209 drivers makes this one of the smoothest, and most versatile printers out there.

The flexible steel print surface is one of those features that once you use, you can't use anything else.

The integration with PRUSA slicer makes creating g-code trouble free and FAST.

I've got to hand it to PRUSA, I would have been terrified to launch this product because I'd be afraid it would eviscerate sales of everything else they make.... it's that good.

        Thumbs up

To improve: screwing the 2nd and 3rd nuts for the base & Z connection was moderately difficult.

Pros: incomparable assembly time, simplicity & ease vs MK2S MK3S SL1. Small footprint. Idea of 2 Minis vs 1 MK3S speed is awesome. Mini is unfathomably cheap compared to MK3S.

Wanted: More Mini assembly as printed part design is interesting to look at and assembly is educational. XL release.

        Another!

I have been printing with a Prusa I3 MK3S since March of 2019 and have had nothing but good things to say about it. There have been few issues (really nothing more than clogged nozzles and a wire I damaged when changing one of those).

I've had my MINI for about three weeks now. It took me roughly an hour from the time I cracked the tape on the box until I was adjusting the Z-calibration. Watching the assembly video before starting was definitely helpful. I don't know if I would have been able to figure out where to put all the cabling without it.

The color LCD interface is an excellent improvement over the Mk3S. Its smaller build plate can still handle something like 90% of the STL's I had acquired to use with the MK3S. I'm very much looking forward to managing the printer remotely over the network as that functionality becomes available.

Since I got it built, I have barely given the little guy a moment's rest, and it has risen to the challenge. I am getting excellent quality with no tuning required from the stock settings in PrusaSlicer. I like it so much that I am already considering ordering a second one.
