Agree with everybody to replace the original spool holder. There are a bunch of them on Thingiverse. I have done mine with stuff I found in my workshop...
It doesn't take more than 2 hours to build it if you have everything on hand. You need:
- 2 wood boards
- 2 alu mounting brackets
- 1 alu rod
- a few screws
- clamps (blue pieces on the pict) printed with PETG
The clamps hold the spools so that they don't move horizontally. The green piece below the black filament spool is a filament guide which I found on Thingiverse. That one is from Area51. Thank you
