I was using the Prusa 3D Slic3r, but ive just started a print on the PrusaControl beta software so il see if that one does it better.

I was using the default PLA settings but also have altered them a few times while experimenting.

Okay ive reprinted the Prusa Frog straight from the SD card and have have just a good a quality print as the original frog i did a few weeks ago. The fan had no issues and ran throughout.

Does this mean im having a problem with my slic3r program?

The prints are sticking down to the bed without a problem, i had to print a skirt thing to help with narrower prints but thats kind of to be expected.
