Re: Colorprint very buggy

I will post a picture to show what I mean. But this unreliability of the software makes it essentially useless. What is a better way to insert a color transition for a single extruder system? Various approaches exist. 1. Use PrusaControl. It allows color changes very easily. 2. Are you comfortable ...

Re: Multi-coloured cell

Nice ! I had seen that model on Thingiverse & instantly thought "good for MM".

Curious - do you get a better surface finish/less stringing on the direct drive printer v/s the MM ?

Re: Multicolor

Is there someone who can help? I am not sure if I understood your question right. Please try these steps: Load the model in Slic3r Multi Material Assign extruder 4 to the part Use the cut option at some height (let's say 5 mm & keep the bottom part) Load the same model as a subpart of the cut part ...

Re: How to calibrate after setting a 0.25 nozzle

I use a 0.25mm nozzle quite extensively. However, I always had first layer issues. I changed the PEI sheet a couple of days back. Did a calibration again today. FYI, I have recompiled the firmware with the changes suggested in the "Hyperfine bed levelling" thread. I also used the great "No_Print_Cal...

Re: One-click script to modify and compile Mk2 firmware on Windows

Awesome utility! Found this very useful.

It didn't work for me first time. I suspect this is either due to the fact that it can't handle spaces in filenames or something else. After keeping it in a simple path (c;\dev\Get-PrusaFW) it works just fine...

Re: How to calibrate after setting a 0.25 nozzle

I use a 75mm x 75mm single layer (0.2mm) model to calibrate Z. This is inspired from https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/prusa-i3-kit-building-calibrating-first-print-main-f6/life-adjust-z-my-way-t2981.html, which is directly applicable to the 0.4mm nozzle. I made a simple STL file for this using OpenSCA...

3D printed ... Smart phone!

Happy to share some of the images of the stuff I've been doing at work. KiteBoard (http://www.kiteboard.io/) is a small single board computer that me & my team develop. We had an intern make various 3D printable designs for concept devices - including a 3D printable smartphone. Sharing some of the p...

Re: Imperfect bottom surface

looks to me as if your Live 'Z' adjustment is too low have a look at Jeff's method, http://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/prusa-i3-kit-building-calibrating-first-print-main-f6/life-adjust-z-my-way-t2981.html#p40920 Thanks. Yes, it was too low. Reducing it helped a lot - but it is not perfect yet. Working o...
