Re: How to pull up PTFE tube to release jam?

Worked great thanks! I used a cut off piece of filament to push it down all the way. Tried pulling up but don't think that part made much of a difference. I think the key was to go to 240. Remove the extruder fan completely. Heat to 240 degrees, wait a couple of minutes and you should be able to pus...

How to pull up PTFE tube to release jam?

I got a jam in hotend but can't pull up PTFE tube even though black ring is pushed down. How can I pull up PTFE tube? Should I use pliers to yank it out? I tried heating nozzle and inserted piano wire up nozzle with no luck. Is there a way I can extrude manually from the settings?

Re: Slic3r MM problem

This is not properly made model. Parts are overlapping, thats the problem. This is an example, how cylinder part should look like. I see now, weird how the other text works fine. That threw me. In Fusion 360 it's a 2-step procedure, first a 'cut', then reselect the sketch parts and press-pull 'new ...

Slic3r MM problem

I posted a slic3r MM problem on software forum, but thought I'd link to it in the MM forum as well in case someone has encountered this before:

Any idea what the problem is?

Slic3r MM problem

I am using 1.36.2 Slic3r and have a problem with 3 part MM object. I assign 3 different colors/extruders to each stl (ABC text stl and DEF text stl overlayed on a cylinder but when I slice it the preview only shows 2 colors, not the DEF text. Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Magnetic chessboard

Thanks. All filament is Hatchbox. Took about 15 hours to print with 2 M600 pauses to place the magnets. once to insert 64 8mm x 1mm for the squares and once to insert 4 3.175mm x 3.175 to hold the cover. Slic3r Prusa Edition. Good to know about "Hilbert Curve", I'll have to try that. The lower right...

Re: Bed leveling failed

I used credit card this time but that looks good thanks. That's exactly what happened. I ran it numerous times. Then I lowered the pinda probe by about 100 microns a few times and after doing at least 5 more xyz calibrations it eventually passed, no more digging on the last point. Confusing but glad...
