Re: Prusa We need a larger 3d Printer

I would like a print area of 310mm x 310mm x 310mm at least. I wonder if PRUSA switched to all aluminium extrusion would be a good idea? That way they could offer a variety of sizes at very little extra cost as it would just mean packaging the chosen sizes of aluminium extrusion and the right size h...

MK3 MMU?

For the MMU for the MK3 I was hoping to see the direct drive motor left on the extruder body and the other motors used to feed the filament to it for loading, this should be easy now that the MK3 has a filament sensor and would surely get rid of a lot of the problems people report with the MMU would...

Re: MK3S / MK4 Wishlist

I don't have the feeling that the current one is at its limit. The used Mega2560 is capable of so much more. But with some more features added, it might be a good choice Oh, this mega IS at it's limit, trust me. With tons of additional features in MK3 it would be better to say that it's already ove...

Re: MK3S / MK4 Wishlist

Maybe rather than a touch screen, what we need is a larger full colour display screen with controls next to it? I really hate the current LCD/rotary controls and find them very tricky and annoying to use. Maybe something like this (Made up image): control panel.jpg Or if the rotary controller has to...

Re: MK3S / MK4 Wishlist

Definitely needs a touch screen, many small one's (around mobile phone size) can be very easy to use, it all depends on the skill of the programmer! Also why does it have to be small particularly? As a side note for the MMU for the MK3S/4 I would like to see the direct drive motor left on the extrud...

Re: Slic3r Prusa Edition - OpenGL errors

Alan, from the log file yopu have posted you are using OpenGL v1.1.o and as vojtěch says you need to have a GPU that supports at least OpenGL v2.0. I'm a bit confused about the log entries: Operating System: MSWin32 System Architecture: MSWin32-x64-multi-thread Does that mean you are running Windows...

Re: ORIGINAL PRUSA I3 MK2S RELEASE (UPDATED)

If you are looking here: https://github.com/prusa3d/Original-Prusa-i3/tree/MK2S/Printed-Parts/stl then these are all the NEW parts... Remember though that they may not be the final versions until they are signed off and zipped up for the site... As you can see extruder_body.stl is the new version: I...

Re: Removable print bed for Original Prusa i3 M2?

Using a metal bed will completely mess up the auto calibration system on the MK2! The MK2 heat bed has small metal disks (not magnets) at set points embedded in the heat bed which the probe has to be able to find to calibrate the printer. To be honest I've had no problems removing prints from the PE...
