Re: Print curling

 did you thoroughly clean the pei sheet with 99% isopropyl alcohol ??? or even acetone ? and didn't touch the surface with your hands before printing ? maybe your pei sheet is a little bit "worn out", so "refreshing" it with 000 steel wool might be a good idea. by the way: at the thread, where...

Re: life adjust Z - my way

I recommend to "fine tune" it down to +/- 20µm. check out -920 and -940. you should get a closed and consistent surface, without seperated strains, at a thickness of 0.20mm. remember, if you still got strains but no closed surface even when lowering the tip of the nozzle much further: check and cali...

extruder printed in orange, a real problem ?

Hi guys, after printing the extruder parts for the MK2(s) -> MK2.5 upgrade in orange abs, I noticed that prusa doesn't ship the upgrade anymore with orange filament. they are only going to be shipped with black petg now, due to issues with the optical filament runout sensor. is there a real problem ...

Re: Why is the extruder pulley made of Brass ?

Joan is right (as usual), the brass hobbed pulleys are no longer available at the spare-parts section of the prusa shop. just noticed that because the brass pulleys of my two printers (genuine MK2 and selfmade clone) are worn out now and at my clone I get extrusion interruptions during the pr...

... Could the extrusion multiplier be the culprit here?
yes, might be.
but even inaccuracy in the diameter of the nozzles borehole could be a reason.

Re: can't get the gear bearings sample model to work.

 you know that you need to "break free" the printed gear module before you can move it ? 1st: lay it down at a package of paper handkerchiefs and give it a good smash with a rubber mallet. 2nd: stick an allen key (or suitable hexagonal bit with cordless electric screwdriver) in the cen...

Re: Can't loosen thermistor wire on molex 3953x connector

First: this is not the thermistor wiring & connector, it's for the heater cartridge. If you can't loosen the screws, then the wire ferrules are probably welded into the connector or the screws themselve are welded into the threads of the connector. anyhow: the connector itself is unsafe to use any f...

Re: Scale under heatbed to monitor where plastic is going

,,, I suppose you could weight the WHOLE machine - and have the spool mounted separately (not on the machine) but a tumor on the hotend would still "register" as added weight. Interesting idea, just not sure it would work well. but a successful printed part will add the weight as well. how should t...
