Re: Stuck at the top of the Z Axis

I made a written complaint about the support insistence on Video evidence for the Pinda probe, and they supplied a replacement... whilst working with support doing what they asked, which included taking the cable ties off the extruder cable bundle, the fault went from intermittent to permanent, I co...

Re: Power Supply failure

Hi David, at least you now know there are two thicknesses and you don't have to worry about your designs being faulty, or redesign the models to fit your nuts...

Re: Layer Shift Issues

Hi Christian, is the motor pully grub screw screwed into the flat of the motor shaft? sometimes when it is slightly loose, it will allow the pulley to rotate on the shaft until it jams, so you get a layer shift, then later, if your extruder bumps your print, and the pulley spins around the other way...

Re: Extending the PSU cables.

Hi David, it's happened to me twice, with original prusa cables, so far this has not happened with silicone cables. there have been a number of similar issues on the forum... I notice the leads on my mk2.5 heatbed now fasten with nuts and bolts, is this to make them easier to replace? regards Joan

Re: Difficulty unloading filament / blobs / breaking below gears...

Hi Pat.

There is nothing to stop you writing a short gcode file to do exactly what you want. And keeping it handy for unloading at leisure...
Probably worth including a command to ensure the extruder is hot, say 190C for PLA first.

Re: Just Finished and Wondering

When i upgraded from mk1 to mk2 I didnt want to re use the ABS filament that prusa used to use. Because it had already broken once. So I bought a 10 metre sample of nylon off Ebay. I cut the end of the filament at an angle, using Flush cut cutters. So that the end of the nylon is not deformed And tha...

Re: First Layer Issues after MK2.5 Upgrade - Need Help

Hi guys. I suggest that you use Jeff Jordan's Life adjust my way version6.1 file First to idealise the centre of your bed Then , as A large flat thing takes a long time to print Lets say you make a 200mm square model 0.2mm thick If you slice it with concentric infill. You will quickly see if any sid...

Re: Extending the PSU cables.

Thank you Benjamin.
I usually get this wire off Ebay. It is used for radio controll models. May I suggest that you get perhaps an extra metre of each colour. So that wnen the heat bed cable breaks. You will have stock on hand.
Same cable size.

Re: Extending the PSU cables.

Hi Benjamin, I would provide new wires rather than extend the existing wires. I am an advocate for using quality flexible wires and like to use silicone insulated flexible wires below is a table of the current carrying capability for various gauges. Wire table.JPG as the power supply is rated at 24 ...
